Meet the Team
After leaving agricultural college, Liam completed a 3 year diploma in Poultry and has worked in all areas of the industry with layers, breeders, broilers and hatcheries before becoming a livestock manager for a poultry integrator. During this time, he also completed a diploma in Business Management. In 2009, Liam set up the Irish company with St David’s Poultry Team which he is a director of and has managed to date. He is also Field Service Manager and heads up the St David's ‘one-stop-poultry-shop’ and provides field services to the Irish poultry industry.
Conor graduated in 2002 from U.C.D. He is from Limerick and apart from a period spent working with big cats and monkeys in the Bolivian Rainforest, he worked in mixed practice until joining St David's Poultry Team Ireland in 2015. He finds this new poultry focused job has just as much variety as any day in mixed practice.
Rebecca qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2012. She became interested in poultry as a student and undertook a research project studying the effects of Infectious Bronchitis on the reproductive tract of laying hens. Following graduation she worked in mixed practice before joining St David’s Poultry Team Ireland in March 2013.
After graduating from veterinary school in 2008, Callum worked in a variety of different roles outside of the veterinary field before starting work as a veterinary inspector with the Ministry of Resources and Rural Affairs in Malta. He was responsible for inspections on pig and poultry farms, controls in a rabbit slaughterhouse as well as working on other projects including disposal of animal by-products and was the chairman of the Enzootic Bovine Leukosis Disease Eradication Programme and compensation committees.
After previously working in poultry with Liam for a number of years, Eileen joined St David’s Poultry Ireland in January 2009. Her main responsibilities would include the day to day running of the office and the vets' diaries, all purchase and sales ledgers and rearer vaccination programmes.
Maggie started at St David’s Poultry Team Ireland in August 2011. She is currently working part time and is responsible answering phones, dealing with day to day queries and managing the vets' diaries. Maggie also organises the paper work for day old medication.
Joe started working with St David’s Poultry Team Ireland in September 2016. His main roles includes the distribution of medication and vaccines for poultry. He works closely with his colleagues, liaising with the vets and providing them with the onsite medication when required. Outside of St David’s, Joe enjoys baking and doing the odd 10k.
Patrick started working for St David's in April 2019. His main roles include the organising of collection and distribution of medicines and vaccine for poultry along with assisting the office manager with the rearer vaccination programmes.
Outside of work, he spends most of his time following various sports teams, whose success or failure can be easily known by his mood on the day after they play.
Suzanne joined St David’s in August 2017.
She is responsible for the day to day running of the Monaghan Office, liaising with vets, clients and field staff regarding products and prescriptions, for logging all post mortems and bacteriology results onto the system and organising training courses for poultry farmers.
Outside of work, Suzanne enjoys reading, walking and spending time with her family and friends.
Office Support and Directorate PA Sueanne joined St David’s Poultry Team Ireland in June 2020 after completing a two Year Diploma in Animal Science & Health, Sueanne’s key responsibilities is liasing with clients, working within the Laboratory and dealing with general queries and managing the vets’ and field staffs' diaries, as well as being Liam Walsh’s PA. In Sueanne’s spare time she is constantly upskilling in courses within the Animal World and has recently completed a course in Animal Communication, she also volunteers at her local Animal Shelter and is a motivator with the youth in her community.
